Tooth-Colored Fillings

Overview

If you’ve got metal fillings, you know what they can do to your smile. Instead of gleaming white, your teeth look old, gray and discolored.

Return your smile to a youthful, vibrant, natural appearance with long-lasting health! It’s easy with tooth-colored fillings.

Stronger Than Metal

Tooth-colored fillings (also called white fillings) are made of composite resin and provide stronger, safer restorations for your teeth. They require less tooth preparation (i.e. drilling!) than metal fillings do, leaving more of your natural tooth structure intact.

Safer Than Metal

Additionally, tooth-colored fillings are biocompatible, mercury-free and don’t react to temperature changes the way metal fillings do. When exposed to hot or cold (think coffee or ice cream) metal fillings expand or contract within the tooth. All this movement can weaken tooth walls, leading to fracture or breaking. The movement also creates space between the filling and the tooth wall; allowing dangerous bacteria to get in, unseen, and cause more damage and decay.

Replace Old Metal Fillings

If you have a mouth full of metal fillings that are discoloring your teeth, consider replacing them with tooth colored fillings. You’ll be amazed at the difference this simple change can make in your smile!
